For owners

Selling the business you built shouldn't feel like handing it to a stranger.

Whether you're ready now or just want to know the number, we can start with one quiet conversation. Nothing gets listed, nothing gets said to your staff, and you're never committed to anything.

Who this is for

You're probably in one of these spots

  • You own an independent insurance agency and you're starting to wonder what it's worth.
  • You've had an unsolicited offer and you don't know if it's a good one.
  • You're a contractor, childcare owner, or practice owner with licensing that has to transfer cleanly.
  • You're 6 months to 3 years out and want to know what to fix before you sell.
  • You want your people and your clients to land somewhere good.

If none of those quite fit, reach out anyway. Half of what I do is help owners figure out whether this is the year or not.

About confidentiality

This is the fear I hear most: if word gets out, my producers leave and my clients start shopping. Fair. Here's how I handle it.

  • Your business is marketed blind: industry, region, and numbers only.
  • Every buyer signs an NDA and gets screened before they learn your name.
  • Financials go out in stages, not all at once.
  • Site visits happen after hours or off-site, on your terms.
  • You decide who finds out and when, including your team.

Why a specialist

A specialized broker vs. someone who sells anything

Nothing against generalists. But your agency or licensed business has moving parts that only show up when you've sold a few of them.

I already know your buyers

Agency aggregators, local strategics, and individual operators. A generalist broker starts that list from scratch on your dime.

I know what your business is actually worth

Commission books, retention, carrier mix, or licensed staff aren't line items a general broker knows how to price. Get that wrong and you leave real money behind.

I know what kills these deals

Carrier consent, license transfer, key-person risk, and lender requirements. We deal with them early instead of finding them in diligence.

You get me, not a team

One licensed broker, backed by FitzGibbon Alexander, on every call from the first conversation to the closing table.

Step by step

What actually happens, start to finish

From the first call to the wire hitting your account, here's the whole thing.

Step 1 · Week 1

A confidential conversation

No paperwork, no pressure. Just a quiet conversation about your agency or business, your timing, and what a sale would need to look like for it to be worth doing. Nothing leaves that call.

Step 2 · Weeks 2–4

What your business is worth

I go through your revenue, your earnings, your carrier mix or customer base, and what actually transfers to a new owner. You get a clear range and the reasoning behind it, in plain English, so there are no surprises later.

Step 3 · Months 1–6

Finding buyers who'll run it well

Your business is presented confidentially to buyers I've screened for money, experience, and intent. Nobody sees your name until they've signed an NDA and I've checked they can actually close.

Step 4 · 60–120 days from offer

Getting to the closing table

I help you compare offers on more than price, manage due diligence requests, coordinate with your CPA and attorney, and keep the deal moving through lender approval to a signed closing.

Confidential

Start a private conversation

Tell me a little about your business. No obligation, and nothing you send here goes any further than me.

Your name and business stay between us. I never share details with buyers, staff, or anyone else without your written go-ahead.
